Leaving behind the jammed streets of NYC for a thrilling European break might the perfect cure against spring melancholia. However, a trip to Europe may also require a little more planning that a weekend excursion to Boston or Philadelphia. And the most time consuming activity is probably the painful process of searching for a fairly priced ticket. But if you benefit from Delta Airlines New York specials, you can easily get away with less than 600 $ a round trip flight.
These special fares are valid for flights between NYC’s JFK Airport and 7 European cities: Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Dublin, London, Madrid and Niece. Whether you’re planning to study the architecture of Barcelona or go clubbing in Berlin, the most important thing to remember is that flights must be purchased till May 29, 2010 and that the travel period ends somewhere around June, varying for each location. The cheapest destination is Barcelona, for which the price of as one way flight starts at only $269 (based on a round-trip purchase).

Flying to one city and returning from another is called a multi-city flight. Metafares does not offer this option at the moment, but you can try other flight providers who do have it, like Kayak.com or Orbitz.com. You go to their page and inside their searchbox, on the top you will find a list of flight options (one way, roundtrip, multi-city etc.). You check multi-city and then add your parameters.
Have a good trip!
