The United Kingdom seems to be a big collection of breathtaking places full of fairy tales, legends and supernatural creatures. One of these lands is Wales, the country of very long words, dragons and castles – did you know that there are abut 600 castles in Wales?
The Celtic and medieval heritage go hand in hand with the beauties of the land, so behold the top 3 natural wonders in Wales. The video below shows only a little part of what wonders await, from the windy seacoast of Pembrokeshire to thermal water lakes and green pathways.
Pistyll Rhaeadr, Powys, Wales
With its heights of 75 meters, Pistyll Rhaeadr is the tallest waterfall in the country of Wales. The Welsh name of the natural wonder means ‘spring of the waterfall’ in English and it is located near Llanrhaedr-ym-Mochnant (4 miles from the town) on the Afon Disgynfa river.
There is a nice little cafe right at the bottom of Pystill Rhaeadr where you can have a drink in intimate, natural ambiance and then, if you want to explore, you can hike one of the trails that take to the top and enjoy the marvelous view.
Glyder Fach and Glyder Fawr, Snowdonia

Located on the fabled land of Snowdonia, Glyder Fach and Glyder Fawr are two peculiar mountains that look like they were enchanted by one of the magicians from a Welsh tale. They are both definitely worth a visit!
Glyder Fach is 994 meters high and ends in the slab like cantilever rock that looks like a springboard and is a great place to take photos while you stand on it. Glyder Fawr on the other hand is 1,001 meters high and the uncanny, shattered rocks make it look like tombstones were thrown on top of each other. Beside natural wonders, Snowdonia may offer many historical attractions one should not miss – likeSegontium, the Harlech Castle or Ty Hyll.
Coast Path National Trail, Pembrokeshire

Considered one of the best hiking trails in the whole world, Coast Path National Trail stretches to 187 miles from St. Dogmaels to Amroth. The incredibly green scenery is spotted hills, lookouts and lighthouses all the way long.
Although the weather is not always perfect, if you choose a sunny day, the landscape is magical, one of the most beautiful on earth if I might say so. Just a tip, you can also see seals underwater if you are lucky!
