Looking for the low rates advertised.
This deal was posted in June 2012 and unfortunately it has expired. But I ran a quick search for Fort Myers on Metafares car search (selecting Hotwire, Travelgrove and Expedia as providers) and this is the best I have found for pick up and drop off at Southwest Florida Intl Airport for Feb 3 – Feb 17 (as i didn’t know your preferred travel dates) and this is what I have found:
Economy cars: $27/day
Compact cars: $30/day
Mid-size cars: $30/day
The prices include taxes and fees and you can pick up your car in the terminal of the airport.
Run a search yourself – with your travel dates – and book the car type you need, but note that car rates can change very often.
